I had the honour of collecting a Red Velvet birthday cake for a great family friend from Hummingbird Bakery on Old Brompton Road. I have to say I felt I had been asked to do the most important job for the party, let’s face it; it isn’t a party without the cake!!!

The cake was huge as you can see and when you slice into a cake from Hummingbird Bakery, the slices are enormous, which is what all cake lovers’ want!   

I have mentioned in My Blog in the past that Red Velvet leaves an aftertaste in my mouth; but I have to say this cake didn’t. Wow, it was gorgeous and accompanied by a fantastic double espresso, made by the best coffee Barista I know, it was perfect!  



I absolutely love the cupcakes from Hummingbird Bakery and recommend all cupcake lovers to make a visit!
